Roger and Sterling Road Closure
Sent: April 23, 2019
Work to improve the Roger, Sterling, Green Bay intersection is anticipated to begin tomorrow April 24th. The completed project will provide a traditional 90 degree intersection that is safer for both motorists and pedestrians.
The project area is small but entails complex work. In order to complete the project safely and quickly it is necessary to close the north end of Sterling Road for the duration of the project. There will be intermittent lane closures on Roger.
Access to the Green Bay Road Underpass will be restricted from the north. Pedestrians needing access to the Green Bay Road Underpass from the north are requested to walk south on Exmoor from Roger, east on Wayland and north on Sterling to the crossing guard. Parents are requested to make sure students are familiar with this change to their walking route to and from school.
The project is expected to take up to 5 weeks to complete. The Village is aware of the inconvenience caused by construction and apologize. Your understanding is appreciated as we bring you a new intersection.
To stay up to date as the project moves forward, text “road” to 74121 or visit the Village website at vokil.org. In the event that you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to either e-mail Management Analyst, Alannah Doak at adoak@vokil.org or call Village Hall at 847-251-1666.
