No Parking During Snow Event
Sent: January 17, 2019
This weekend we are expecting our first significant snow event of the season. In advance of the storm, we are asking for your help. Please assist our emergency responders by not parking on the street between Friday evening at 6:00 PM and Sunday evening. While our overnight parking prohibition (2:00 – 6:00a) remains in effect, voluntarily keeping cars off the street during the storm greatly helps improve our snow removal operations. By keeping the streets clear of parked cars, our crews can clear the entire roadway more quickly and avoid delays caused by navigating around parked vehicles on narrow streets. If you require someplace to park your vehicle overnight, please call us to make arrangements to use one of our commuter parking lots during the snow event.
Once the snow is finished, the work of our Public Works team is only partially done. Please watch for our new sidewalk snow removal tractor in action. The new equipment was purchased in an effort to improve upon the efficiency of our sidewalk snow removal and minimize damage to the surrounding turf. We hope that you will notice a dramatic improvement.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Patrick Brennan, Village Manager
