Crime Alert

Shortly before 3 a.m. on 7/2/18, a Kenilworth Police Officer observed a vehicle southbound on Cumner at Kenilworth Ave.  The vehicle struck the curb as it sped westbound on Kenilworth Ave.  A registration check on the license plate of the vehicle indicated that the car was stolen.  The officer drove to catch up to the vehicle and requested back-up.  The vehicle fled into Wilmette and crashed at Glenview Rd. and Hibbard.  4 subjects were apprehended and charged.  At this time, 2 unlocked vehicles were illegally entered in Kenilworth.  One occurred in the 300 Block of Melrose and the other in the 500 Block of Cumner.  These incidents are under investigation.
