Kenilworth Avenue Speed Enforcement Zone
With the west Kenilworth Avenue paving project having been completed, many residents living in the area have voiced concerns about speeding vehicles on Kenilworth Avenue between Ridge Road and Green Bay Road. There are many children living in this area and crossing Kenilworth Avenue on their way to school. Additionally, many commuters walk along Kenilworth Avenue on their way to the train station. The Kenilworth Police Department will be aggressively enforcing the 25 mph speed limit on Kenilworth Avenue between Green Bay Road and Ridge Road. A speed display device will be alerting drivers of their speed as a reminder of the enforcement which will be taking place. The residents living in this area appreciate your attention to this safety concern and the Kenilworth Police Department appreciates your cooperation.
Toys for Tots Ends December 16thThe Kenilworth Police Department once again partnered with the Toys For Tots program this Holiday Season to make a difference in the lives of children. A toy collection box has been placed in the lobby at the Village Hall for residents who want to donate. The Toys for Tots drive is ending this Friday December 16
th. Since the beginning of November, several boxes of toys have been donated. Thank you to everyone in the Kenilworth community for your generous support of this worthy cause.
Toy Collection Rules & Regulations All toys donated must be:
- New in original sealed package (No used toys)
- No stuffed animals (Dust/Allergy Concerns)
- All items donated to the police department must be unwrapped. (Safety concerns)
