Information Bulletin - Construction Impacting Sears School Access

The Village has been advised that Friday construction activity on Melrose Avenue at Essex Road and Melrose Avenue at Warwick Road could create closures at those intersections throughout the day.

The Do Not Enter signs on Abbotsford Road will be temporarily bagged to allow northbound traffic flow at Kenilworth Avenue, Melrose Avenue and Ivy Court.  This will allow two-way traffic flow on Abbotsford Road. 

By Monday, the intersections of Abbotsford Road at Melrose Avenue and Warwick Road at Melrose Avenue will be open for traffic.

The Kenilworth Police Department and Sears School staff encourage walking and biking to school.

Please use the following temporary drop off locations:

• Kindergarten - Rear of Sears School
• 1st thru 5th - Front of Sears School
• 6th thru 8th - North end of Richmond Road

To avoid construction around the school area, residents also have the option to drop off at the Sterling Road crossing where students can utilize the Green Bay Road tunnel.
