IRS Scam Alert
This scam is currently active in the community. Callers fictitiously represent themselves as IRS employees and demand money or may use techniques to obtain private information.  Phone messages are sometimes left on voicemails threatening that if their call is not returned that the resident will be arrested.  The callers are very convincing and usually have information about the person they are calling to aid in their efforts.  They also have means of altering the caller ID to make it look like the IRS is calling.  Click on the link below for additional information from the IRS website.
