Thieves are active on the North Shore on a regular basis intending to commit vehicle burglaries and thefts. Their efforts have unfortunately proven fruitful which has encouraged their return visits. Unlocked doors will continue to draw these offenders to your neighborhood, even if you have nothing to lose in your car. Every time these offenders are on our streets there is a chance for a confrontation with an unsuspecting resident. Please do your part by locking your doors. We will continue to do our part to locate, arrest and disrupt their activities to the best of our ability. Thank you for your support in this joint effort.

The Kenilworth Police Department wants to share with residents the opportunity to register for Smart911, which allows you to create a safety profile that will provide important information to first responders in an emergency. Smart911 is a free opt-in service, and you can provide as much or as little information as you would like. When anyone in your household dials 911 from a landline or cell phone connected to your safety profile, all the information is immediately displayed to the emergency dispatcher.
