 COVID-19 Scams
 
The Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic has presented a unique opportunity for malicious actors to exploit worldwide anxiety over the virus in order to conduct a variety of scams. These scams can include but are not limited to financial scams, misinformation campaigns, spear fishing attempts, and telephone deceptions. The scams are often tailored to targeted regions or groups with the aim of collecting sensitive information, stealing money, spreading false information, or delivering malware to victims’ devices. 
 
Be cautious if you receive unsolicited communication from people claiming to be health professionals, employees of your bank or investment firm, friends in need of help or anyone threatening arrest or confinement. 

 
Stay at Home Order, Essential Businesses & Operations
 
The links below are being provided to help clarify which activities and travel are allowed under Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order and which are not.  For example, walking in parks, while maintaining social distancing, is allowed but playgrounds are prohibited because they may increase the spread of COVID-19.
