A request by the Kenilworth Union Church to construct an addition on to the existing building. The request requires a Certificate of Appropriateness, which was heard by the Architectural Review Commission, as well as a Zoning Map Amendment, Special Use and Variance, which will be heard by the Zoning Board of Appeals, and a Plat of Consolidation, which the Plan Commission will review and provide recommendation on to the Village Board.
The Zoning Board of Appeals will be meeting on January 8, 2024, to discuss the Kenilworth Union Church request for a Zoning Map Amendment to rezone the property commonly known as the Memorial Garden from the P Park & Playground District to the R-1 Residence District. At their Wednesday, October 18, 2023 meeting., the Architectural Review Commission voted to recommend approval of the Certificate of Appropriateness. A public hearing to consider the Special Use and Variance will be scheduled in the near future. Once the ZBA has provided a recommendation on the Special Use, the Village Board will hold a public hearing to consider the recommendations and vote on the request.
